Youth Ice Hockey

Learn-to-Skate Hockey Class

  • Series of classes are offered year round (ages 5 & up)
  • Instruction for ages 5 through 18 is based on the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) format
  • Skaters must have passed Tots 1 & 2 or Beginner Learn-to-Skate classes before entering Hockey classes.
  • Skaters learn the basic turns and moves for ice hockey.
  • A helmet is required and skaters will need a stick and gloves for class. Equipment is not provided.


Winter 2 Session:
February 26 through April 16, 2018
Class series is 7 weeks 
Registration opens February 19th at approximately 10:00 AM, online only
Early Bird rate on or before February 25th is $130. Regular class fee is $150.

Pre-Hockey through Hockey 5 Classes are offered:
Monday  5:15 – 6:00 PM
15-min sticks & puck practice before 30-min class

Youth Hockey

Once the skills are mastered, players may try out for the Tri Valley Minor Hockey Association (an independent Non-profit organization) for In-house and Travel hockey teams

Adult Hockey

Iceland offers fun, recreational daytime hockey for adults. There is a regular group of adults who have participated in these day games for years. Please come join them. Teams are filled on a first come, first signed up basis.  Click here to go to the session sign up page.

  • Fall & Winter – Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM
  • Summer – Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Holiday Periods – Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM
    Youth Ice Hockey Costs:
  • Monday and Wednesday – $10.00 each
  • Friday – $15.00 each
  • Goalies skate for free

Additional Adult Hockey

There are privately run groups for adults that also skate year round. Times vary per group. Since these are operated privately, players should visit the facility during the rental play time and check with the person renting the ice for availability and information.
