Our skating school offers group classes for all ages and levels.

We offer classes for all skill levels - you are sure to enjoy your time on the ice.

Dublin Iceland’s Skating School Instructors go beyond just being skilled, qualified, experienced professionals. They are also Friendly, Approachable, Caring, Creative and Fun! Our skating school is not run like a factory, churning out skaters like robots. We prefer giving more attention to individuals, and believe we get better results too. We strive to keep our class ratio no more than 12 skaters per instructor.

  • Series of classes are offered year round with various schedule options for time and day
  • Instruction is based on the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) format with Tots 1 or Beginner through Freestyle 5 offered
  • Classes for adults are also available

All beginning skaters may only enroll in the following levels:
     Tots 1 is for children who are from 3 to 6 years old with minimal to no skating experience.
     Beginner is for participants who are 7 years & older with minimal to no skating experience.

About the Classes

Tots 1, Tots 2, Beginner, Pre-Alpha, Alpha and Beta enrollment includes:
     A weekly 30 minute lesson
     Skate rental on the day of your class
     Practice session on the day of your class
     A punch card for 3 public sessions (card expires at the end of the learn-to-skate series)
     An evaluation of skills will be provided by the final week of the series
     One make-up class for the series

Gamma through Freestyle 4 includes:
     A weekly 45 minute lesson
     Skate rental on the day of your class
     Practice session on the day of your class
     A punch card for 3 public sessions (card expires at the end of the learn-to-skate series)
     An evaluation of skills will be provided by the final week of the series
     One make-up class for the series.

Adult Classes
    A weekly 30 minute lesson
    Skate rental on the day of your class
    Practice session on the day of your class (evening class: no practice available; will receive 2 punch cards)
    A punch card for 3 public sessions (card expires at the end of the learn-to-skate series)
    One make-up class for the series

Class Times & Dates

Winter 1 Session:
Jan. 5 - Feb. 21, 2015
All class sessions will be for 7 weeks.
Online registration opens December 14th after 10:00 AM

The early bird discount cost of classes ranges from $115 - $130 depending on level, day, and length of class. Only online registration will receive the early bird discount. Early bird discount will end on Dec. 29th at 11:59 PM.

The regular cost of a class ranges from $135 - $150.

Skaters who have never taken classes before may only sign up for Tots 1 (3 - 6 years) or Beginner (7 years and older)

No classes Feb. 24 - 28. Winter 2 session will begin the week of Mar. 2nd

Hockey Classes

Dublin Iceland offers a range of Learn-to-Skate Hockey classes. Skaters must first pass the Tots 1 and the Tots 2 classes (age 3 - 6) or the Beginner class (age 7 & older) to join the pre-hockey class. Click here for more information.
